JOB TITLE : Director of Sales & Marketing
REPORTS TO : General Manager
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE :
Develop long and short term sales & marketing strategies for the hotel. Prepare,achieve yearly revenue & expense budget. Re-structure, lead and manage the Sales & Marketing Team.
• Prepare the yearly revenue & expense budget. Ensure revenue budget is achieved and surpassed and to use the expense budget efficiently according to the needs.
• Develop a comprehensive marketing plan and strategy to maximize total hotel revenue and profitabilty.
• Evaluate date and trends, identify changing market conditions consequently, identify innovative marketing ideas and proactively develop long and short term strategies to maintain and grow market share.
• Be aware of the market dynamics to be able to establish rate strategies
• Give,direct and control all reports and statistics in a timely and accurate manner such related to sales & marketing activities.
• Formulate strategies in order to run an effective sales and marketing team.
• Responsible for proof reading and approving marketing related materials.
• Develop the Sales & Marketing strategy for the hotel.
• Proactively identify opportuinities to increase profits and create value without compromising guest or employee satisfaction.
• To create synergy between departments and allocate duties for successful implementation of the S&M plan.
• Be the face of Excelsior Hotel Baku outside of the hotel premises. Present the hotel in local social functions and member association events.Attend the international fairs, roadshows.
• Deciding on the yearly corporate events,give aways and related promotional colleterals.
• Give consultancy to the management team in order to enhance the positioning of the hotel in both local and international markets.
• Resposible for maximizing revenue in all revenue generating departments, increasing the loyalty of both third parties and endusers and conducting activities to build positive image.
• Re-structure, lead and manage the Sales & Marketing Team
• Develop organizational commitment: Take care of the team’s morale, motivation, loyalty and coaching.
• Set performance standards, linking budget to performance, reporting results and holding the sales team accountable for results.
• Analyze performance of the sales team, adress strenghts and improvement areas in order to improve effectivenes.
• To increase the sales awareness of HOD’s and their employees.

JOB PROFILE : To ensure the continuity and operational consistency during the daily operation. The position is also responsible for increasing the up sells in order to maximize the overall revenue of the company. Ensuring the highest standards of service in accordance with the operating procedures of Excelsior Hotel
EDUCATION : University Degree
EXPERIENCE : One year experience would be preferred.
COMPETENCIES : Team work, pro-activity, quality focused, detail oriented, self development, initiative.

INDIVIDUAL CHARACTERISTICS : Pro-active, good communication skills, guest service oriented, detail oriented, self motivated.
