About Your Job:

- As a Senior Finance Assistant, will be responsible for ensuring the correct and timely processing of sales reports, collections and process supplier payment in line with Qatar Airways (QR) policies and internal accounting procedures. You will be involved in both Accounts Payable and Accounts receivable tasks.
- You will also handle petty cash float and accounting of expenses, daily cash sales of QR offices and agent’s sales of Passenger and cargo.
- You will also handle the banking of cash and cheque collections, credit card reconciliations, stock, distribution of stock, maintaining records and verifying and checking of daily sales/refund reports, accounting of collections on daily basis.
- As well as follow up on outstanding Accounts receivable transactions, prepare month end schedules, reconciliation statements, analysis reports as well as handle the accounts payable invoices from suppliers, verification, accounting and payment of invoices in compliance to company policies and procedures.
- You will prepare and maintaining payment analysis sheets and expense vouchers, assist tax compliance /filling /documentation and accurate accounting. Checking and verifying source documents and assist Tax consultant in statutory tax filling and VAT refund claims. - Submission of VAT refund claim taxes as per local regulations, as well as Post Accrual Journal vouchers for proper accounting of expenses.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

- You will hold a Bachelors’ degree in Finance/accounting or equivalent.
- Also you must have a minimum experience of three years with at least 1 year with an airline, as well as experience in any ERP, proficient with spreadsheets, strong aviation profile in either expenditure or revenue accounting.
- You should be able to analyse and explain Financial/management accounts to finance and non-finance audiences and have knowledge on contracts, local’s laws and regulations like VAT, tax, payroll, etc.
- Fluency in English is essential to be considered. Azerbaijani and Russian (written and spoken) is preferred but not essential. You must also have the right to live and work in Azerbaijan to be considered for this role.
