Summary:

To ensure cleanliness, orderliness and well-care of the entire hotel, to perform related controls of general places, rooms and personnel work places and to join and assist the planning works in relation to decoration and layout order of the hotel.  

Main Duties:

• Preparing monthly forecast for the housekeeping department.
• Attending P&L reviews and prepares rationale for variances in labor cost, printing and cleaning supplies, uniform/linen costs, stationery, cost per occupied room, etc.
• Attends and reports all relevant activities of the department
• Directly responsible for administering the Lost and Found procedures, ensuring that implementation level adheres to established guidelines.
• Preparing inputs to the annual budget by keeping track of actual costs for the current and previous years of expenses for guestroom and cleaning supplies and equipment, uniforms, linen and flowers.
• Preparing and submitting of the following reports on a regular basis: Linen Inventory and Amenity Inventory 
• Planning  for additional amenities, extra beds and other equipment/supplies as called for by the volume of business.
• Responsible for ensuring that proper training of staff is done such that staff has the necessary skill to perform duties with maximum efficiency.
• Drafts training schedules for the month based on guidelines set by the department head and drafts presented by service leaders, and recommends approval to the department head; implements planned training activities
• Implementating of appropriate scheduling and duty roster management by reviewing all inputs (business volume vis-à-vis recommended manning) and effecting corrections immediately, as needed.
• Continuously reminds staff of performance targets, monitors staff performance, ensures documentation of both positive and negative performance indicators in preparation for the formal performance review.
• Conducts appraisal sessions for supervised staff and formally documents performance for the period using official forms, following authorized procedures and observing set timelines as disseminated by the Human Resources Division
• Ensures that the staff adhere to the rules and regulations of the hotel
• Oversees the implementation of control procedures for expenses and ensures that these are consistently implemented in all housekeeping sections.
• Ensures that all staff are aware of Lost and Found procedures, at all times.
• Ensures that all staff strictly follows required procedures at all times.
• Oversees and ensures proper maintenance of equipment in the area of assignment.
• Maintains the highest standard of professionalism, ethics and attitude towards clients and colleagues.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 2 years in a similar position and must have experience within 5 stars hotel operations.
• Must hold a University Degree or equivalent.
• Fluent Azerbaijani, English (Russian is advantage).
• Positive attitude and good communication skills.
